Chanel Perfection Lumiere

My skin has been so out of whack lately. I don't know if it's the heat or my hormones, but I don't like it. I have been definitely reaching medium to full coverage foundations. But it has been so hot here in LA.  I wanted to try something lightweight, matte and long lasting.

Impossible, right?

No, my lovlies, it's not.

Meet my new matte friend, Chanel Perfection Lumiere ($55).

I love that it comes with a pump. I use a Beauty Blender and bounce it on my skin. As it dries, it dries in a powder finish, so no need to powder! Throughout the day, it doesn't oxidize and it lasts well. I would have to powder around 4 hours, but that happens with any foundation.

I love how this foundations is matte but doesn't make my face flat! It looks like my natural skin BREATHING.

It is a hefty price tag, but I say if you have oily skin, it's worth of try!

Me with just foundation and brow powder.

What do you think?

Spring Lippies

Spring is here and it's all about the lips.

Meet my Spring lip contenders I have been wearing everyday.

Lip butters are the name of the game. They are creamy, moisturizing and pigmented. It makes it so easy to swipe and go than laying lipstick then lipgloss everyday. When I feel incredibly girly, I use Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Adventure. It is the best quality lipstick I ever used. I love how it applies thinly on my lips (and it's still pigmented!) It makes it feel like my lips. I hate how some lipsticks applies thickly and it feels like gunk. I love the fresh bright rose pink it imparts on my lips. The gold shimmer in it is just icing on the cake. Gorgeous. Totally worth the splurge. When I want a everyday pink I used Flower Cosmetics in Haute Honeysuckle. It's a turned down version of Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine in Adventure. It's has more of a peach rosy pink  color. Really, it's a your lips but better. Last and certainly not least, my beloved Revlon Lip butter in Juicy Papaya. My favorite Revlon lip butter color. I won't say much about them because I already dedicated a post to them here

What are you loving?

Anastasia Brow Powder

Brows are the most unexciting and difficult part of my makeup routine.

I ran out of Anastasia Brow Wiz, so I thought I should try their brow powder.

Did you know they changed their packaging? I'm not sure that I like the new design. I love that it's more compact, but old design feels higher quality.

Anastasia Brow Powder comes in two shades.  I have the shade in Brunette. I thought I had no use for the lighter shade. My black hair would only match the dark shade, right? It turns out mixing of the light and dark colors was the perfect match for my brows. If I tried using just the dark shade, then it would be too dark.

This is the first time I used brow powder. I'm still getting use to it. It gives more a natural look than a brow pencil does, but it gives me a lack of control. I'm still working on making a sharp line at the end of my eyebrows. Hopefully it'll just take practice. I don't regret buying this stuff at all. This stuff is soft and pigmented. It's so easy to work with. I use Anastasia mini duo angled brush and spooly.

Do you prefer Brow Wiz or the Brow Powder?
